PERSONAL COURSE GOAL OUTCOME
I have been working on a project that started during one of my courses, which lead me to help with the registering and trademark of the logo and design, since then I have been helping in writing a business plan and securing funds through various means in order to make this a reality.

I have two business partners - My brother Jason C. And his / our friend Alec C.

The objective is to gain an understanding of interior design, making aesthetically pleasing space that is functional and comfortable, which is complimenting and coinciding to the overall design and business mission.
The challenge will be to work with my business partners during this assignment. Allowing them to make most of the Design choices ( meeting assignment requirement ) then with guidance and choices from what we discussed in order to meet their expectations but also my own.

SIGNATURE PROJECT - Geeks Guild Business
BUSINESS SPATIAL INTERIOR DESIGN
This part of the project was more revealing than what I thought it would be,

We have discussed a few things periodically throughout this project, and Alec has been working with a relator to find a space that will meet all of our expectations and budge,

There are some things that we are more similar on than what I had previously thought and there are somethings that I feel will play into the appearance that we are going for as far as making our overall appearance more collectively conducive.

At first i felt that it may be kind of a waste of time, but there are issues that we are facing with our plans that will need to be addressed creatively. So, this will be helpful and interesting to say the least.
After working on this further one on one with my client it was clear that this being a realistic project was going to be more in depth and needed more time and attention.

So i decided to pull away from this and work on a friend's room problems in a purchased home. This was going to be a undertaking for them but i felt that there was going to be an easier time for classroom assignment purposes, making a residential space work better verses a commercial space.
which towards the end of the semester i ended up moving into a new place as well so this was actually a good move on my part.

However, now that i have done this I will be doing this more on my own to get the space set up, the concepts that were taught in the course will be extremely helpful in making this a success.
SIGNATURE PROJECT - David Braithwaite Room Adjustment
BUSINESS SPATIAL INTERIOR DESIGN
What new information did you learn through-out the semester that is reflected in this assignment? Please reference specific examples.

Being a graphic artists and someone who has had some creative and design background, a good deal of the information wasn’t all that uncommon to me, however there were more special concepts that I didn’t realize were at play. They were definitely no brainer when you start to look at it more and the task as hand of how a room flows, but at first glance even an artist or designer I just didn’t see or pay attention to.

I think consideration to the colors of accent walls and how it affects the special perception is really cool. I always liked when a room had an accent but never considered the psychological or perceptual aspects of those choices that were made.

I think being more mindful to the colors, light, and materials that are being used can help to govern success in special planning and design but also in other type of projects as well. It is nice to have a refresher to the information that we as artists know but sometimes forget to remember. Ha.

What was your biggest accomplishment in the course? How did the signature assignment and other course elements help you reach it? Can you use this new information or skills in other areas of your life? Be specific.
While I didn’t finish the original intention, of designing our commercial space, I feel that I have the tools now to make it happen or be more successful. I just know that it is a serious project and one that I need to sit and workshop futher with all of the considerations that we have learned throughout the course. I know that its going to happen and I feel much better about making it work out than I did before.
So, again, while I may not have finished that goal in the course, I have taken steps to do so. And with more time and process, I will make progress on this and then make it a reality in the coming months or couple of years.

Having it be a comfortable and ascetically pleasing space. I think this is a huge stepping stone for me and progress to a really life goal. I think I achieved what I intended from the course.

Of course, more time is needed, but progress is slow and steady with something that is truly important.
